SCHA is an inclusive network of approximately 200 families in Sonoma County and surrounding areas who share an interest in homeschooling. While we don’t all share the same educational philosophies, we do share the desire to provide our children with the education of our choosing. SCHA provides: 1) a network allowing member families to connect with other homeschoolers, 2) ways for members to learn about and share homeschooling resources, and 3) outreach to families interested in homeschooling in Sonoma County.
Current efforts include: 1) scheduling field trips and other homeschooling activities; 2) maintaining an email forum and this website; 3) distributing a membership roster to SCHA families; and 4) holding occasional Homeschool Information Meetings open to the general public. Membership fees pay for group liability insurance at all events, roster costs, and a limited amount of publicity and outreach to the community.
